When I say we will retain the "stressed eyebolts", the intent is to prevent them from ever getting onto somebody else's airplane.
To be very unambigious, the attached photo is the expected outcome when using the improperly manufactured eyebolts in these critical failure locations on an Acroduster Too.
For those who have not followed the thread since July, the improperly made (poor heat treatment, cut threads) eyebolts have about 1/3 of the intended design strength. They WILL fatigue and fail in short order if you fly the plane as was intended - up to its design limits - even occasionally!
Frankly I am totally baffled that nobody, no-one, not a single AD-II owner, expressed any interest in the possible purchase of custom made, and tested, strengthened replacement eyebolts. Perhaps you/they are all busy building new welded cabanes as we did? Perhaps you never intend to exceed +/- 4 G's??? If you intend to fly acro - you will exceed those numbers from time to time!!
