My SDII, N70798, had very heavy aileron stick forces when I first got it. I was seriously considering spades until after I made and installed gap seals over the aileron hinge cutouts on the aileron L/E's. The orig builder (and subsequent owners) had left the 3" gaps open on the aileron L/E's. Albeit I did it for esthetic purposes, reducing that gap from 3" to 3/8" on all 8 aileron hinges made it seem like I had installed power steering. Problem solved!!!
