1704 lbs is at +/- 6g's. You could calculate it for 3.8 g's (I think that is standard catagory for an FAR 23 airplane). 1704 times 6 is 10224. 10224 divided by 3.8 is 2690 lbs. The structure is rated for 2690lbs at 3.8 g's, however you might be limited by power loading. I would think that a gross weight of 2000lbs would be very reasonable. Just my rambling thoughts.
