I have just finished the stits covering on my Smith miniplane upper wing. I recovered the lower wings and ailerons last year. The fuselage and tail feathers remain to be covered. I sewed an envelope approx. 18 ft. long with three chord-wise
seams for the upper wing. Put the pink dope on with a 3 inch foam brush. I could cover and paint your lower wings for you, depending on where you are. I repaired a couple ribs and built two additional smaller tip ribs out of spruce to help eliminate the hollow look of the wing tips. It really has been a lot of fun.
